Green Casting LIFE on the

75 World Foundry Congress,

25-30 October 2024, Deyang, Chiny

The 75th World Foundry Congress took place in Deayang, China, from 25.10.2024 to 30.10.2024, under the patronage of the World Foundry Organization (WFO). It is the most important global event in the metallurgical and foundry industry, providing a platform for the exchange of knowledge and experience of specialists from around the world, representatives of industry and research centers. The World Foundry Congress serves to present the latest achievements in the field of broadly understood foundry and also allows for the establishment of many international scientific and business contacts. The main theme of this year's 75th Congress was "DEVELOPMENT OF FOUNDRY". The event was attended by approx. 1,500 people representing representatives of science and industry from around the world. The delegation from Poland was one of the largest from Europe.

During the Opening Ceremony of the 75th World Congress in Deyang, China, Prof. Rafał Dańko, Vice-Rector of AGH, was the Plenary Speaker. His speech entitled “Getting Closer To Green Casting Foundry – Suistinable Development” concerned the implemented European project “Green Casting Life” LIFE21-ENV-FI-101074439 https://www.azterlan.es/en/kh/greencasting-life

During the second day of the 75 World Congress, Angelika Kmita, prof. AGH, as Invited Speaker, presented a paper entitled "Eco-Friendly Casting by Using Innovative Inogranic Binder Systems (IIBs)" related to the reduction of industrial emissions. The presented results are the effect of the implementation of the European project “Green Casting Life” LIFE21-ENV-FI-101074439 https://www.azterlan.es/en/kh/greencasting-life
